Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara
Chairman, Board of Directors

Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara is the current Chairman, Board of Directors of the National Credit
Guarantee Company Limited. He was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives in Nigeria on June 9, 2015.
Hon. Dogara graduated from University of Jos, Plateau State with Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons.). He attended Nigerian Law School between 1992 and 1993 and was called to the Nigerian Bar.

He obtained Master of Laws (LLM) from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, between 2002 and 2003.
In terms of work experience, he has been, inter alia:

  • Speaker House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • A class teacher at ATBU Staff School, Bauchi, Bauch State.
  • Private Legal Practitioner from 1994 to 2005

From 2005 to 2006, he was Special Assistant to Hon. Minister of State for Transport. As member House of Representatives, he was a strong advocate for the independence of the legislature.

He is member of some professional bodies including:

  • Nigerian Bar Association, Associate Member, World Jurist Association, Member International Bar Association and Life Bencher, Body of Benchers.

Mr. Bonaventure Okhaimo

Mr. Bonaventure Okhaimo, is the Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited.

He was formerly the Chief Operating Officer, of the Development Bank of Nigeria, has over 30 years of banking experience. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Impact Credit Guarantee Limited. His expertise includes branch operations, Product development, Relationship management, and leadership roles in Retail/SME Banking, Institutional Banking, Information Technology, and Strategic Operations Service Delivery.

Mr. Okhaimo has an LLB from the University of Benin, a BL from the Nigeria Law Schoolin Lagos, a PGD in Business Administration from RSUST Port Harcourt, an MBA in Financial Management from FUT, Owerri, a Chartered Banker MBA from Bangor University, Wales, and a Master of Philosophy from UCAM, Catholic University of Murcia, Spain. He is an Honorary and Associate Member of CIBN, a member of the Chartered Banker Institute in the UK, NIM, and a Fellow of the ICA, Nigeria.

His internships include Standard Bank Limited in Johannesburg and Standard Chartered Bank in Zimbabwe and Kenya. He also completed Executive Management Training Programs at Queen’s Business School in Canada, Columbia Business School in New York, Said Oxford Business School in the UK, Harvard Business School in Boston, Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania, and MIT Sloan School of Management in the USA.

Prof. Ezekiel J. Oseni

Prof. Ezekiel Oseni is the Executive Director (Risk Management) in the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited. He served as a Special Adviser on Risk Management to the Managing Director/CEO of Bank of Industry Limited. He was at a time a General Manager and Chief Risk Officer of Bank of
Industry. He also served briefly as the CEO National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND) from July 2016 to December 2017. His wealth of experience cut across corporate finance, auditing, entrepreneurship, compliance and risk management.

He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degrees in Accounting from University of Ilorin, and a Ph. D in Business and Applied Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye. He has Executive Masters’ degree in Business Administration (EMBA) from Lagos Business School.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) and Chartered Risk Management Institute (CRMI). He is the immediate past President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Risk Management Institute.

He has extensive experience in academics. He lectured at University of Ilorin from 1992 o 1994, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife from 1994 to 1997 and thereafter as faculty member to University of Lagos and Babcock University Business School where he is a professor of accounting and finance since September 2022. He has published several articles on his areas of specialization in reputable journals across the globe and he is the author of Risk Management for MSMEs.

Mrs. Tinuola Aigwedo

Mrs. Tinuola Aigwedo is a seasoned executive with over 22 years of distinguished service in Nigeria’s financial sector, driving transformational growth across Public Sector, SME, and Retail Banking.

Until her appointment as Executive Director, she served as a Deputy General Manager at Guaranty Trust Bank, where she led Retail Banking for the entire Abuja and North Central Region.

A proud graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University with a degree in Economics, Tinuola holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and is currently pursuing a dual doctorate in Management and MRES at Universidad Catolica de Murcia UCAM in Spain. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria (FCIFC), a Fellow of the Institute of Economists of Nigeria (FCPE) and an Honorary Senior Member (HCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She is also an alumna of the prestigious Michigan Ross School of Leadership.

She continues to inspire excellence, visionary leadership, and transformational service  across sectors.

Dr. Olasupo Olusi

Dr. Olasupo Olusi, a trailblazing leader, distinguished economist, and seasoned development finance expert, serves as the visionary MD/CEO of the Bank of Industry (BOI), where he has delivered transformative outcomes for Nigeria’s industrial and economic landscape. In 2024, he led the unprecedented raising of nearly €2 billion (₦3.4 trillion) from global financial institutions—the largest single transaction ever executed by a Development Finance Institution (DFI) in Africa. This landmark deal unlocks access to long-tenured, low-interest financing for Nigerian private enterprises, setting the stage for widespread job creation and inclusive growth.

Under his leadership, the Bank of Industry has gained widespread recognition for its innovation, execution, and impact. The Bank was named Africa’s Most Innovative National Bank of the Year at the 2025 African Heritage Concert & Awards, and received Best Company in Financial Inclusion at the SERAS CSR Awards. Its flagship digital and creative economy initiative, iDICE, was honored with the Best Social Development Program in Africa by the EMEA Finance Achievement Awards in 2024.

Dr. Olusi has nearly two decades of extensive global experience with the World Bank Group and Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Finance. He led numerous country macroeconomic and private sector development projects across several Eastern European, Middle Eastern and African countries. His work also included pivotal research in drivers of economic growth and financial markets.

Dr. Olusi holds a PhD in Economics and Finance, along with an MSc in Money, Finance, and Investment from the prestigious Durham University in the UK.

OLUWAKEMI A. OWONUBI

Oluwakemi Owonubi Babalogbon serves as Executive Director at the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), the Federal Government of Nigeria’s (FGN) dedicated asset and investment management entity.

A seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience, Oluwakemi possesses deep expertise in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, private equity, equity research, buyouts, and post-merger integration and risk management. She has held pivotal leadership roles shaping strategic growth:

At MOFI she directs the development and implementation of a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework for the organization and risk assessment for new investments and its diverse portfolio. Concurrently, as Coordinator for the National Assets Register (NAR), she is central to fulfilling MOFI’s mandate to establish a centralized register of all Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) investment assets.

At Tangerine Financial Limited: She was responsible for planning and driving the group’s strategic expansion initiatives into select African markets. She also served on and provided strategic guidance to the boards of several Tangerine portfolio companies within the healthcare and insurance sectors.

At Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria (RMB): as Head Corporate Finance, she drove the execution of the bank’s corporate finance strategy, working closely with business leaders and clients to originate, manage, and successfully execute significant acquisition and merger transactions across financial services, FMCG, telecoms, and construction, and across African markets

Oluwakemi holds an MBA from the prestigious International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She is a distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and holds theCertified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP)certification.

 

Aminu Umar – Sadiq

Aminu Sadiq is a Non Executive Director of National Credit Guarantee Company Limited. He is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authorities (NSIA).

He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford(St. John’s College).he has also attended plethora of advanced management programmes for senior management executives.

Aminu Umar-Sadiq has significant experience in the global Financial Services Sector- spanning public Finance, management, mergers and Acquisition, private equity and asset management.

Engr. Uzoma O. Nwagba

Engr. Uzoma O. Nwagba is a Non-Executive Director at the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited. He is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP). 

Nwagba holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Harvard Business School, Boston, U.S.A. with a concentration in Finance, Technology and Operations. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with First Class Honours, from Howard University, Washington D.C.

Mr. Nwagba brings a wealth of experience across technology (Microsoft), financial services (Goldman Sachs), private equity (African Capital Alliance), and the execution of national credit delivery during his time as Chief Operating Officer driving intervention projects at the Bank of Industry and overseeing multilateral partnerships with the World Bank and Gates Foundation.

Nwagba is a 2019 Desmond Tutu Fellow and a 2023 Global Eisenhower Fellow.



Yeside Kazeem

Yeside Kazeem, Non-Executive Director of National Credit Guarantee Company Limited ,is a transformative insurance leader with an established record of driving growth and innovation whilst establishing resilient risk management in multiple markets.

An experienced board-level leader with over twenty (20) years of expertise in strategic oversight, governance and risk management within the insurance sector. She brings proven ability to advise on business transformations, foster alignment across diverse teams, and ensure strategic positioning across multiple market demands. Experienced in remuneration Committee responsibilities, including aligning executive compensation strategies with business performance and stakeholder interest.

Yeside Kazeem obtained BSc Actuarial Science(Second Class Upper) from University of Lagos. MSc Actuarial Management (Distinction), from Bayes Business School. She is a fellow, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She has wealth of experience and expertise in the following areas:
