Mr. Okhaimo’s career is marked by his transformative leadership as the pioneer Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN). In this foundational role, he was instrumental in propelling the bank’s strategic objectives, overseeing an extraordinary increase in loan disbursements from N1.3 billion in July 2018 to an impressive N1.06 trillion by December 2024. His visionary leadership led to the revitalization of DBN’s operations and the development of innovative products that dramatically expanded financial access for Nigerian MSMEs.
His commitment to fostering a robust financial ecosystem extends to his crucial role as a pioneer board member of Impact Credit Guarantee Company Limited, a DBN subsidiary. Mr. Okhaimo was central to the company’s establishment, meticulously shaping its strategy, monitoring performance, and instituting rigorous risk and internal controls. Prior to his current appointment and his impactful tenure at DBN, Mr. Okhaimo held diverse senior leadership positions across Nigeria’s most prominent financial institutions. As General Manager of the Products and Channels Directorate at Unity Bank Plc, he successfully drove the development and management of innovative banking products and digital channels. His extensive experience also includes pivotal roles at First City Monument Bank Ltd, Standard Chartered Bank of Nigeria Ltd. (where he notably launched SME Banking), Stanbic IBTC Nigeria Limited, and Diamond (now Access) Bank Nigeria Ltd., consistently demonstrating exceptional prowess in business development, operations optimization, and credit portfolio management.
Academic Excellence and Global Professional Acumen
Mr. Okhaimo’s strong academic foundation includes a Master of Philosophy in Management from the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), Spain, where he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). He holds a Chartered Banker MBA from Bangor Business School, Wales, and an MBA in Financial Management from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. Furthermore, he possesses a Barrister at Law Degree (B.L.) from the Nigerian Law School.
He is a proud Member of the Chartered Banker Institute, United Kingdom, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria, and a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, Nigeria. His continuous professional development is evidenced by his participation in prestigious executive programs at Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan School of Management, The Wharton School, Columbia Business School, the University of Oxford, and Queen’s Business School, Canada.

Prof. Oseni holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Accounting from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and a Ph.D. in Business and Applied Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School, Imperial College Business School, London, Galilee International Management Institute, Israel and Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
He led the restructuring of risk management function at the Bank of Industry (BOI) after successfully establishing the Internal Control and Audit Division, making the Bank global best practice compliant in every aspect of risk management including ESG risks. His efforts contributed significantly to the Bank’s first ratings of A- by Augusto in 2014 and later to tripple A by Agusto & Co, and Fitch and Moodys in the subsequent years.
He was the MD/ CEO of the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND) from July, 2016 to December, 2017 on secondment from BOI, the job he combined with his roles in BOI, and earned a letter of commendation from the FGN through Federal Ministry of Finance.
Ezekiel is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria. He is a certified information system auditor. He is the immediate past President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria. He is an accomplished academic with teaching and research experience from several universities, including the University of Ilorin and Obafemi Awolowo University where he worked full-time, University of Lagos and Babcock University. He has several publications in respected academic journals across the globe. He is a professor of accounting and finance at Babcock University Business School. He had served on the Board of several companies. He is a member of the Debt Capital Markets Development Project (DCMD Project) Infrastructure Finance Sub-Committee of FMDQ.
He is the author of the book Risk Management for MSMEs.

Mrs. Tinuola Aigwedo is a seasoned executive with over 22 years of distinguished service in Nigeria’s financial sector, driving transformational growth across Public Sector, SME, and Retail Banking. She is renowned for her strategic foresight, operational excellence, and people-centered leadership style.
Until her appointment as Executive Director, she served as a Deputy General Manager at Guaranty Trust Bank, where she led Retail Banking for the entire Abuja and North Central Region, successfully expanding customer access, deepening financial inclusion, and fostering sustainable growth.
A proud graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University with a degree in Economics, Tinuola holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and is currently pursuing a dual doctorate in Management and MRES. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria (CIFCON), a Fellow of the Institute of Economists of Nigeria(CIPEPF), and an Honorary Senior Member (HCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She is also an alumna of the prestigious Michigan Ross School of Leadership.
