To access partial credit guarantees from the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC), financial institutions must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
Financial Soundness
- Maintain capital adequacy and liquidity levels as prescribed by CBN prudential guidelines
- Implement comprehensive financial risk management policies (covering credit, liquidity, market, currency, and interest rate risks)
Sustainability & Market Readiness
- Have an Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) aligned with NCGC requirements.
- Maintain partnerships with at least two licensed credit bureaus.
- Uphold industry standards on responsible lending, including assessment of borrowers’ repayment capacity
